Thanks for this coverage of the election.
In particular, I note your focus on younger folks getting involved. That is great! although, it certainly does not include me, at age 58. However, it does include my three children ages 23, 26, and 28. My wife, Elizabeth, and I met when we were 20-something — she was on the national field staff of the 1976 Jimmy Carter for President Primary Campaign and I was just getting involved as a volunteer.
I’d really like to see more young folks more involved in politics. They are the future. Of course, I would welcome their support in my own campaign, and, when elected, I intend to find ambitious and energetic staff to help me.
Glad to see this pilot project public funding option was not scuttled by incumbents Council Chair Yoshimoto et al. last April when they sought to postpone or gut this legislation April, when in apparent violation of the Sunshine Law they orchestrated a maneuver to undermine implementation of this program for the 2010 election. Everyone is going to play tough in the special election, but it seems like CH is playing hardball right from the start. That probably means that she needs to run a negative campaign to take votes away from Ed. I wonder if running negative is going to backfire and how long before Ed decides to hit back.
She’ll have to do it twice, because even if Case doesn’t get the special election he probably won’t shy away from the primary. And that would be the one to really watch out for. – rjm
I would suppose you can still operate this blog and still campaign for the candidates you want elected ?

If you use pictures that I took, I would appreciate the credit.

removed.
I have no problem with you using pictures that I have taken… just please link them. I know of some folks on this island that would attempt to sue me right now if I were to use a picture that they have used… that’s a whole nother story.
I would hate for public information on this island to get so hypocritical… but I think it benefits all of us in the long run. That’s why I don’t mind if folks use my pictures at all and link them.
Some folks don’t want you even using their pictures at all w/out asking permission first. I think a few certain blogger(s)may find themselves in a predicament soon.
Hope all is going well for you RJ
